Commercial Lending School

BAFS is pleased to announce our collaboration with The Risk Management Association (RMA) in offering a commercial lending school.   The school will use RMA certified instructor(s) and materials for each class module. Year one will begin with Commercial Credit for Lenders which will provide training on the core skills for commercial lending and credit.

Year one classes will be held at the corporate offices of Smart Financial Credit Union in Houston, Texas and will begin with registration on August 6, 2017. The 2017 class has been limited to the first 30 approved applicants and the final application deadline is July 21, 2017. If you have any questions concerning the school, please contact us at [email protected] or call Brian Fleming or Shannon White at 318-387-1132

Annual BAFS User’s Conference

We are excited to announce we are having our 3rd Annual BAFS User’s Conference at the L’auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles on Tuesday April 4th.  We will be discussing new regulatory issues, detailing our new services, our technology enhancements and have an interactive team building exercise.

Risk Rating Models Webinar – March 2nd @ 10 CST

The BAFS Loan Review Department has been creating new risk rating models and is prepared to go live and use models on both the Underwriting and Loan Review side of the Commercial Lending process. On March 2nd @ 10 CST Michael Peoples will go through the various models and explain the subtle and not so subtle changes made to our current models. He will show examples of how these models better measure and risk rate your business portfolio.
